Sunday Ad inspiration

Its family day...catch you later this week.

Halloween Started Off bad...

so, after serving my room mom duties, I was leaving with the entire class, the teacher, and other parents. My oldest child's head band slipped down over her eyes while walking (running) then into a steel pole. We went from the school nurse, to home, from a phone call to get her to an urgent care clinic to a speciality pedatric clinic 30 minutes south of where we live. The concern was that child just wanted to sleep and that the child rated the sleepiness level beyond a 10. This picture was taken six hours after the fact. Not to mention the fact the hospital had given children's ibprofen. I was up every few hours waking the child until child responded or the child woke on child's own accord. Trick or Treating will be limited to just our street. No major hitting other neighbhorhoods.
This is my oldest's child's teacher's new car. The teacher said that they had been saving for a new car, and that the teacher had fallen in love with a red bug on the internet. The teacher found one used and wasn't sure if the car would be worthy of the teacher's money. I was so excited to see the car. The teacher is an awesome person. The teacher really deserved the wonderful car. Cheery o!
I will hopefully remember to regrister and sign up for this class. I always have tons of pictures from the holidays that need scrapping. No joke..close to 300 per christmas. Last year it was 500 because we flew home for Christmas..

Hell, is dealing with the insurance until the literarily the pharmacy closed its doors at 10 pm last night trying to override the __________computer program so it would allow the pharmacy to fill the presciption. Hell, is knowing that your almost $800.00 a month in premumins and co-pays gets you jack squat for help. Hell is knowning that nothing that the government passes for middle class blue collar workers will actually work but make it harder for us.

Hell, is what the _______________ did I just type? How the ___________did I get here?

Wednesday what who where..uh oh NO!!

After confirming with the pedatrician, that our youngest has the dreaded swine flu. We fought with the insurance to get the tamaflu suspense compound mix, and got it in the child. After two hours of sleep, I hear a deep voice in my head calling Sam get up, Sam get up help with the meds. The fever is back, and the other one is coughing its head off. I recultantly pull out of my coma rem sleep stage again. Second, night in a row my sleep cycle has been majorly inturpted. We get one child medicated almost asleep. The younger one with the swine flu only reminds of Ian in the book series by Kerrelyn Sparks, of his agony while taking an experimental drug to grow older and stay awake expect this is not fanasty. Its my kid screaming at the top of their lungs like they are being tortured by an unknown attacker. Its my kid curled up with a high fever with muscle spasms in places the kid didn't know existed. My DH exhaugsted and I doing my best to keep my cool like a melting iceberger during a greenhouse meltdown on high. Finally, we get this child settled down after an hour and half of screams the kind that make your ears bleed, and your eyeballs go blind from veins exploding from the vibration of the scream sound waves. The child eventually collapses on the bed next to their Daddy. Me, now fully awake, ear aches, and overwhelming desire to take out the incredibly rude, and inconsiderate family that exposed not only my child but an entire community to this awful virus. The spirit within me takes control, I start to pray instead of getting angry for healing, for peace, and for understanding.

To my new friends at bitten by books, if you have requested friend and I have ignored your requests. Do not take it personally. It has nothing to do with you right now. I am overwhelmed with lifes downs instead of ups.

Somebody remind how to pray to call in the healing powers from air, wind, water, earth, and then ultimately the holy spirit of all of us, that is found in the food we eat to help heal my family.

My brain is tired, my heart is heavy, and my body just wants to run until all the stress is gone.
So, excuse me if I don't answer emails, cell or lan line calls, text mgs or ims (family and friends that have my im address), I'm currently out of order for a few days.

Recycled altered projects..

liquid medicine boxes for a pencil/pen caddy. It now has labels. Library book spot made out a minute rice box..
Flashcards made out of tea bag box. I took the lid off.

This is an old cracker box. I cut it in half altered it now it holds what you see.

This an old case of coke cola. I had to rebuild the side because DH threw out that pull away side. It can be re-adhered with mod podge. What do you think? It now holds my kids color books. One of two. I have a few more I am altering..

I have to chats to tell you about. I have one at two peas in a bucket at 12 noon pst. I have one at bitten by books at 10 am cst. I will miss most of this one. I might be able to jump in for a few minutes.

Pub Ad Inspiration/Special Get Well challenge

I just love the graphics with wings and clouds on this ad. I had to scan it and send it to you via the blog. This ad comes from a photographer named Jon Wiley. He works for the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team. He has been kind enough to take pictures of my family while at the game. I like the cleanness of this one the best.
I have a very special challenge for anyone reading this blog. A good friend of mine named jen martakis a garden girl at www.twopeasinabucket.com site is on sick leave. I would like for you to make her a digital get well card. I would like you to email me it to me by Thursday of this week. I plan on making one gallery entry with all the cards and emailing her the link.
Ready, Set, Go..spread the love of caring..

A Southern Sermon/The Rules of the south are as follows

While cleaning out my email box of over a year of emails, I found these jokes.

A South Georgia farmer dies and, being a heathen, goes to Hell. When he gets there it's 95° with 90% humidity. But Satan notices he's kicked back on the brimstone relaxing comfortably. He asks, "Why aren't you miserable like everyone else here?" The farmer replies, "Oh, this is like a warm spring day in south Georgia. I like it." Angry, Satan turns up the thermos until it's 100° and 95% humidity. Still, the farmer's happy. "This is like a good June day on the farm. Not bad at all." Furious, Satan turns it up to 105°and 99% humidity. Everyone is even more miserable, except the south Georgia farmer still laying there resting. "Hey, this is like a good August day on the farm bailing hay. Feels good.
The hotter the better." In a total rage, Satan turns the thermostat down to minus 25°F. Within seconds, the air becomes chilly and frost appears, soon followed by solid ice everywhere. Satan smirks, watching the farmer.
The confused farmer looks down at the frozen ground for a moment, suddenly jumps up excitedly, looks around everywhere, realizes that Hell has frozen over, and begins to laugh, jump for joy and scream.
"Tech beat Georgia ! Tech beat Georgia ! Tech beat Georgia

******************************************************************************
THE RULES OF THE SOUTH ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Pull your droopy pants up. You look like an idiot.
2. Turn your cap right, your head isn't crooked.
3. Let's get this straight; it's called a "gravel road." I drive a pickup truck because I want to. No matter how slow you drive, you're going to get dust on your Lexus. Drive it or get out of the way.
4. They are cattle. That's why they smell to you. They smell like money to us. Get over it. Don't like it? I-40 goes east and west, I-75 goes north and south. Pick one.
5. So you have a $60,000 car. We're impressed. We have $250,000 cotton strippers that are driven only 3 weeks a year.
6. So every person in the south waves. It's called being friendly. Try to understand the concept.
7. If that cell phone rings while a bunch of doves are coming in, we WILL shoot it out of your hand. You better hope you don't have it up to your ear at the time.
8. Yeah, we eat catfish &; crawfish. You really want sushi & caviar? It's available at the corner bait shop.
9. The "Opener" refers to the first day of deer season. It's a religious holiday held the closest Saturday to the first of November.
10. We open doors for women. That is applied to all women, regardless of age.
11. No, there's no "vegetarian special" on the menu. Order steak. Or you can order the Chef's Salad and pick off the 2 pounds of ham & turkey.
12. When we fill out a table, there are three main dishes: meats, vegetables, and breads. We use three spices: salt, pepper, and ketchup! Oh, yeah.... We don't care what you folks in Cincinnati call that stuff you eat... IT AIN'T REAL CHILI!!
13. You bring "coke" into my house, it better be brown, wet and served over ice. You bring "Mary Jane" into my house, she better be cute, know how to shoot, drive a truck, and have long hair. ( don't you love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
14. College and High School Football is as important here as the Lakers and the Knicks, and a dang site more fun to watch.
15. Yeah, we have golf courses. But don't hit the water hazards -- it spooks the fish.
16. Colleges? We have them all over. We have State Universities , Universities, and Vo-techs. They come outta there with an education plus a love for God and country, and they still wave at everybody when they come for the holidays.
17. We have more folks in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. So don't mess with us. If you do, you will get whipped by the best.
18. Turn down that blasted car stereo! That thumpity-thump ___ ain't music, anyway. We don't want to hear it anymore than we want to see your boxers! Refer back to #1!
A true southerner will send this to at least 10 others!!!

My Witches Hat I won

This is the first "girlie" hat I have ever owned in my life. When I say "girlie" I mean the whole homecoming queen bit.

I was at the Phoenix Mercury wnba women of inspiration night with my family. This wonderful lady named Gail, encouraged me to enter the contest. Only after telling her, my witches outfit was the exact same color scheme as this hat. So, I took a leap of faith, entered the contest. A few weeks back I got the call. I won it! OMG I have never looked so ridicilous in my life jumping up and down and squealing like a high schooler over a hat.

Gail works for an awesome local non-profit private school.

www.accel.org

You should check it out. I love supporting a good cause and this as a mom, I can say is a very special cause. Thank you Gail! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Even my DH likes me new hat.

Now, for some sad news from my end. My DH officially said, I need to find a part time job that works with my kids schedule. This is after I have been named room mom for the first time in my life and signed up for volunteer hours at the school. Thank God for my friend Kat. Waving crazily at her at the moment. I'm on the west coast she is on the east coast. Thank you for "pimp" out my resume for me. I really appreciate it. i will hopefully find some thing in the near the future that will work.

wednesday field trip

I will not be available for contact due to a field trip at the kiddos school. Email me..I will return your email when I get in.

Tuesday Back to our Regular Schedule

Yesterday the kids were out of school, fall break/columbus day etc. Well, I had been planning a trip to a local park for some "fall pictures" shoot. Did it go the way it was suppose too? Nope, did my kids try to be unselfish and help mommy out by trying to show that they were showing love for other members of the family. HELL NO!!!! I do mean what I said. They did not wear the outfits I wanted them too. They did not leave their hair fixed and did any of the pictures appea natural and fun. HELL NO!! They have these expresses like I hate this and I hate you. They blocked nice shots when they did do some. So, we promptly left. They came home and did chores for about an hour. They read for an hour. They did not have fun at all. We had been planning this together for weeks. Then they decided to act awful. I mean awful!! I wasted what little battery juice we had left in the camera for them. I am still angry you betch ya! I am still foaming at the mouth about their unkind behavior? HELL YE!

Today the go back to school. They get their butts in gear and become the kids I raised them to be. Sorry about the angery post..I am sure most parents who plan to try to take nice pictures of their kids to save money when there is no money to spend can understand.

I have a hugh to do list. I am proud to say that I got more organizational stuff made and in use yesterday. I will definitely have to post the end result for you to see. Just keep coming back I will have a tutorial for you soon.

Reminder two peas chat today.

Like the fall face lift?

MOnday school's out

Okay, so yesterday was rather productive. I started and finished my flash card organizer bin. It was an old empty tea box. Now, it is altered and label holding every single flash card we own for the girls schooling. Not to mention I have started the enevolopes and stapler boxes that will be attached some how. My closet is slowly starting to look like you can find things. My DH is happy clutter is disappearing slowly..

Kids are out of school.

To do list:

Pictures in the park (haven't had sibling pictures in awhile)

HON finish next part of it

do a layout

cook dinner

laundry

make kids read for the reading logs

update calender..

Check this out...

Sunday Ad inspiration

Here is your sunday ad inspiration for multiple pictures. I hope you like it.
If you ever use one of these ads for inspiration. Please feel free to send me an image of your layout. I will gladly post it here.

This picture above is from Saturday's Welcome Back White out game. Yes its just the pom pom from the game but unless you ever have experienced one. Then you will never know the power of fans all dressed in white and cheering for their team to win. We didn't win our first home game here in our state. The devastation for our team captain Shane Doan was a lot since it was his birthday last night as well. Hugs from our family to you ...

This picture was taken above at the kids school for movie night. They open the gym up, you bring your blankets, pillows, and they sell drinks and food. They usually show a recently released movie to dvd. This time it was Monsters vs Aliens. WE didn't make it through the entire movie. I started feeling bad again. so, we left early. The kids got to visit with their friends. I got to visit with a few adults. Hence, I got out of my own box and world and mingled. Aren't you proud of me. Its hard to be the social bug I am when I am married to a hermit or hobbit that doesn't like big crowds.

Thursday Merry Go Round is Stopping

Okay yesterday was awful just awful. First, I had been sick all night long as in my own stomach was revolting from stress and from doing 3-4 miles after taking a long week off. Not good when at 3:00 am and then at 5:30 am kiddo started hollering and curling on the couch and toilet that stomach hurts like never before. Tums aren't working etc etc etc. Call the nursing hot line for help. If she stop screaming then regular doctor. If she continues, then straight to the emergancy room for immediate testing. It stopped the bad tummy pains but they were still there all day. After waiting around all day, we get to see the brother of the doctor that is our main doctor. They're twins, omg they are so identical its not funny. Though one is slightly shorter than the other that's about it. He ordered blood work, concerned over the more weightloss since she stopped being sick. Though he said we will be doing urine testing too. He can't believe how pale the kid still looks.

Then while waiting before the doctor's appointment, we had to move all the boxes out of the "office" where my DH would be getting a desk and credezina for working at home. He found a real wood set that was $250. It needs some stain sticks but is nice.

Not to mention, making sure the house is show room presentable (I hate being from teh south were facades are part of the every day life) just for the furniture people to come in and deliver a desk.

I did work on the moose project but not much yesterday. Hopefully, today I can get it done and surprise my DH with it.

I will be posting a project on two peas in a bucket. This project is very important to all parents or any that is ill frequently. It may save your child's life or even yours.I hopefully will get it done and posted for myself.

Go Coyotes! go! Great win last night over the defending stanley cup champs! 3-0. Maybe this will be your year to at least get division champions. That way the new owners won't move you to Las Vegas!!! Saturday is White out Saturday. Its on! Oh yeah..gonna be there for sure. Look opposing team..our team will shoot, score, and your goalie will suck!

Wednesday..no photo day

Sorry working on the moose mail depot project for my dh.

trying to finish up the other organzing project as well. Not to mention laundry, and a half at school.

Tuesday..bloody....

nose wake up call. i was in the middle of a weird dream. I mean steamy hot shower which to most of us is relaxing. A little too hot but relaxing ..my nose itches in the dream then I feel a weird sensation. I feel a weird googy substance running down my nose and face in real life. Bam! Nose bleed..not just any nose bleed but the kind that you have to get help. You can't stop the bleeding without further getting bloody on everything and everyone in the bed. DH was able to grab a towel and help then fall into an exhaugsted state of sleep. That was over and hour and 45 minutes ago. Every time I try to lay down I have a weird sensation that I blood running down my nose and throat. No joke. so, I clean up myself and clothes.

The shocker of yesterday was Dh actually bought me roses. I mean a bouquet of roses. He has never in his life bought me flowers. One we are an allergy family. Two we really have never had the money for flowers before. Three he said that he really did love me really he did. Has hell freezed over that my husband is turning over a new leaf? I literarily cried like a baby. Beautiful aren't they..

Sorry about the dirty dishes shot..just the only one that you could see all the roses.

Now what do you think of my organization caddy made from old medicine boxes of liquid medicine? Not done with it. I need to decorate it. I need put labels on it. You should see what I am making with an old box from microwave popcorn.

Welcome goth gal..email your link to your blog please?

Monday...

here is a special project that my youngest did last weekend. My oldest did one this weekend. Now waiting for their father to hang them up for use.

Total cost of the project from Wal-mart was $6.50 for two kids.

It doesn't show it but they used their finger prints to make polka dots on it.

(this is not a whine post but a declaration)

So, I made a decission about my birthday even though its two months away. I decided that I am not celebrating or letting anyone of adult age celebrate this year. WHy? Well, years past its been a "problem" for my family to celebrate my birthday. Last year was the last straw. I was coming down with a double ear infection, and told I looked like a dork by the way I was dressed. Gee just make my birthday crappy folks. It only got worse from there. so, the only cool thing about my birthday was my father in law, who was also sick, made his famous steaks for me. Now, that's making me feel special. Thank you to my dearest Father in law. Thank you to my husband's grandmother who too didn't care how I was dressed but just cared about me. To my kids, thank you for the special pictures and playdough cake. It hit the spot.
So, i offically broke the news to everyone in my family. My Dh's family got well let's say if hell could have had flames to burn me then I would be burnt to a crisp right now.

To my Dh's aunt and uncle thank you for the respect you show me in my decisions and you don't cricitis me either.

To my mother thank you for making my birthday special all these years. I appreciate it. Life is to complicated, I'm trying to keep my life simplified.

Keep it simple folks!

Pub Ad Inspiration

I did something Thursday night. I haven’t done in a long while. I went outside in the complete dark. I wanted to see the full moon or almost full moon. As I went out the door, I felt a gentle caressing breeze touch my skin, a soft whisper of falls approach in my ear, and the yard lit up softly by the light of the moon. It was incredibly peaceful, stress relieving, and satisfying to one’s being. To just sit and be still, as instructed by the Bible to do when lost in turmoil. The crickets lullaby could have easily put me under a spell of solid sleep. Yet, I was beckoned back inside to my children and DH over Josie and the Pussycats DVD.
It was refreshing; I will definitely have to do it again.

Friday was a full break down day for me. Between having enough of family blaming my cooking for my child being sick for a week, a doctor that still had not call me back until after I sought a second opinion, and just being exhausted overall. I cried, and cried and cried. Yet, I knew that if I could hold on to the online crop that was schedule I would be in good company.
My DH forgot that it was crop night and promptly took the kids for awhile, so, I could enjoy some down time.
I was pretty creative if I do say so myself! Results are in the post below this one.

Back to Friday, we went to a second doctor for a different opinion in another clinic. This place was so cool. It was definitely smaller than the last place. This place was cooler and nicer. They even wrote on the sheet of special diet that they sent home, that the girls couldn’t have fruit snacks because they have been known to irritate existing stomach conditions. They girls are supposed to eat whole bland foods period. He told me it wasn’t my cooking. Rather, my cooking probably added the kid’s body to heal itself when I did cook something that the rest of family didn’t agree with. So, I’d like to tell the rest my family that just because they are older than me doesn’t mean they know everything, and just because they are younger than me you have taught me so much this week. I love you kids!

Saturday, was a headache day for me. Between weather changing to fall, stress still being released from a week of complete overload of worry and freight, I did have some good things happen.

I cook lentil soup with rice, meet Kim from two peas in a bucket; which was totally fun. I got to go grocery shopping by myself on Saturday. This never happens ever if I have a kid sick home all week. Maybe DH’s guilty consensus got to him.

I found out my local library is having a scary story hour for the kids to dress up, and celebrate fall, another friend told me about trunk or treat at their church, and I started the organizational project with support from my DH. He never supports a craft project but this time he did! Save your cereal boxes, pasta and cracker boxes, you medicine boxes (you know the ones that you go this would make a great project but you don’t know what to do with them) and other boxes that look reusable. The only boxes I don’t recommend are the pancake mixes.

It was the Coyote’s first game; the start of hockey season. My family may disagree about a lot but that doesn’t stop unity during hockey season! They came out fighting. They had three goals by the second quarter. Anybody got the final score for me? Where is my hockey buddies?
