This the last Post for the year 2009. I hope you like the layout. These are the last of the pub ads for 2009. I have post 178 ads this year. Wowizers! That's a lot. I may not post as many. I do not know. I may mix them up as well.

December 30

To my dear Friend Jen M, I am so sorry that I missed your chat at two peas yesterday. I must apologize to you. I was out with my family. My DH actually wanted to be a social bug and go window shopping. Imagine that my DH..he never wants to go any where. He would be quit happy just staying at home forever including working from. So, I took advantage of the oppurnity knocking to get out of the house.

It looked fun. I hope your holidays are going well. Keep me updated.

Here is my page of today. The color blocking with simple journaling, mixture of photography techniques are awesome.

I like how they get 12 pictures in one section. Small but good.

This is my favorite. Do you know why. The author of the article happens to be one of my kids friend's mom. Didn't realize it until we had a playdate just before Christmas. Here's the ad for her article.

This was a tribute to Michael Jackson, Thriller Video. Just look how clean the layout is. Not much journaling space though.

I love the funkiness of the way they did the photos in the ad. It is so cool!

December 29

I have been up since about 3 am. I decided since I couldn't sleep I would try getting photos of our tree ornaments that Dh's grandmother made. They are so pretty. i would love to make a little 4 x 6 album for each of the grandchildren to have for scandvanger hunts at christmas. I figured out how to get our point and shot camera to get the shot. The kicker is I need a freakin' tripod to get a few of the shots unblurry. No way that will happen any time soon.


I have been busy with the new kit from songbird avenue. It should be released Jan 1st for all to see. I just need to make an album for January 2010. Having premade pages ahead time really saved me time and energy.

I love the jeep ad campaign. It truly takes a look at person's personality. I hope that makes sense. Hey Jeep company..in a mood to give away a jeep? I'll take one that is a rubion/safari with four doors full loaded roll cage with 4 x 4ing capabilities, and a whinch on the front. They always come in handy in this family...NO JOKE but we will go there later.

I love the embellishments on how they are scattered and big title/journaling.

December 27th

Here is December 27th. I think I was running out of steam on this layout. Though the basic layout design was orginally a card. I thought that a two pager with at least nine photos and lots of journaling would be wonderful for those with lots to journal about.

I saw this mini ad. I could help but show it. It was wonderful with 5 pictures and plenty of journaling.

I love the blending used on this layout.

I had to post this. The True Blood article. One of our favorite shows to watch together. Plus they did an excellent job of presenting the layout.

Merry Christmas

This is December 26th. I know backwards. Sorry but this was inspired by a card i made that wasn't used by Songbirdavenue. You never know how you inspire yourself to create. This is December 25th. I know still backwards. it w as inspired by all the gifts and wrappings that go with it under the tree.

This is my dresser inspired layout. Yes, my dressing inspired me to do layout format. I sketched how the drawers where arranged and made it fit onto a 12 x 12 sheet of paper.

This morning we discovered ice on the recycling bin when we brought it in after the truck came. I was so thrilled to see the pretty transculent stuff. Go figure right. I will go check the fountain to see if the dirty rain water froze too. maybe get a photo to say with you.

Yesterday morning we had an emergancy trip to the pedatric dentist my oldest loves. The big teeth on the bottom don't come in underneath like most teeth due but from the back instead. At times it still pushes out the teeth but then this is the fourth time we have done this have to have the baby tooth extracted. The dentist is so funny and the staff is so caring that we dont' mind the 40 minute drive to and from the office. The tooth fairy paid the visit with a $5.00 bill only because it as an extracted tooth and not naturally falling out.

Then my oldest used a peeler for the first time in peeling big carrots for stew. I was the proud momma all night long. Then we made my famous cream cheese thumb print cookies, that even now, I get calls from the south saying, we miss your cookies. We've tried to make them but you have the science down on making them. So, I made some for tonight and put the rest in the freeze for later on in the winter.

Today we are making a cake, and chocolate chip cookies. You know Santa has to have his eggnog and cookies. Don't worry our eggnog isn't spiked so he can fly still.

this layout caught my eye between extractions and color combo. i like..

I love the way they used the photo for the background and used colored/patterned paper for font.
Something about a photo mask of a person to crop a photo. Will I be glad when I can use the photo masks to do it.

More layered photos.. I love the color pallette in each section of the photo. A little time consuming but pretty.
