Bloody Bones by Laurell K. Hamilton

Anita Blake is back for another round of fighting with societies within societies of the paranormal community. Not to mention having to date to men at the same time. This time not only does she have rely on the one man, Jean-Claude, she does not want to date but rather eliminate from the world altogether for safety, understanding of mind games, and of herself at times. The outcome is great. The ending of the book is something I can completely relate too. She talks about being the escape goat for personal tragedy. So, instead of the other party admitting that it was not her fault they are blaming her. Though, she is the one that suffered the most trying to save their loved ones.
