Day 22 Monday Munity

Okay, putting the offer in on a house this weekend, having the owners accept, scheduling the home inspection with a company, attending three baseball games over the weekend, inviting a new member of the family into the world, and dealing with a snobby teacher at the end of the year you’d think my family whither it be my family or in-laws would give me and my kids a break. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

MY DH‘s parents, no his mother is insisting on coming out and decorating a house we haven’t closed on yet. Telling me how my house will have x this and x that so we will fit in.

I have never blended in. I have always stuck out like a sore thumb in a crowd. No matter how hard I try to “blend” “blur” (love the digi terms in there) my true colors come through brighter than before. I have decided that it’s not worth the frustration to put a fa├žade on than to be myself as I am.

My house is my house, my style is my style. Not yours not your mother’s and definitely not your brothers. Now each of us a piece of another persons’ said style that works as part of their own but not the entire kit and caboodle.
From what my DH said that not only his mother is planing on decorating but to go through our stuff in storage while out here. EXCUSE ME!!!!! Stay the hell out of our stuff. The movers and my DH worked for hours in getting everything in the little room nice neat and somewhat organized to their knowledge.

I don’t want to be a bobble head, I don’t to make like I don’t exist when your around and everyone pretends to kiss your holier than now attitude which by the way goes against everything that you tell us how to act. You are the one being rude and disrespectful to us. You need to ask us how we feel about it instead of insisting on doing stuff the doctors have told you not to do.

I just have find a way to say all this to her without hurting her feelings or making her feel the way she and her daughter have made me feel in the last two months.
My DH says, I am getting all stressed out for nothing. That when they are not here we will do what we want regardless what they think, I looked at him like are you going to let me do what I want with the house seriously. He said, “Honey we will set up the furniture whatever way you want.” I will believe it when it happens...Now where is the box of Kleenex while I have complete total mental break down before they get here.

Expect when they come back out they will excuse the term howl like a coyote and move stuff against my will and my husbands....

Ugghhh...so sorry! I have been there for sure! And I have no helpful suggestions...it's just a bad situation without an answer where nobody gets hurt.

that's always tough -- trying to be tactful and keep future relationships in mind, especially when the other party sees nothing wrong with their behavior.
